Crawley Ridge D, in the Fourth Division, suffered their first defeat of the season in any competition when they lost 6-4 to Braybrooke B. Eric Wong chalked up his customary treble for Crawley Ridge but braces from Roger Westall, Alan Burkey and Sandra Jackson gave Braybrooke a glimmer of hope in trying to catch them. Ash F and Cody C shared the points with Ash’s Graham Thomas unbeaten and Cody’s Spike Hagan and Dave Hewitt each winning twice. Tennis K beat Fleet C 6-4 with Joe Sparkes and Keith Johnson each winning a couple for Tennis. Fleet’s Alan Yeung, however, was the star of the evening with a maximum. Despite only having two players Ash G beat Cody D 6-4. Bob Murrell was unbeaten for Ash with team-mate Ray Mears chipping in with a pair.
Frimley E maintained their promotion drive in the Third Division with a 7-3 victory over Ash E. All the Frimley points were secured by Ted Cornell and Keiran Daniel. Frimley D beat Tennis G by the same score with Ramesh Vasudevamurthy winning all three and Brian Greenberg winning a couple for Frimley. Crawley Ridge C and Fleet B shared the points with Yuriy Schulzhenko securing a full house for Crawley Ridge and Andy Hook and James Maxwell both bagging braces for Fleet. Tennis F maintained their lead at the top of the table with an emphatic 9-1 win over Crawley Ridge B which places Crawley Ridge on the brink of relegation. Graham McCulley and Andy Barnard were both unbeaten whilst Peter Butler won a couple.
Central A mover ever closer to retaining the First Division title after an emphatic 8-2 victory over Frimley A Paul Baker and Peter Millard won all their singles with Julie Lawrence winning a couple. Central B kept up the pressure with an 8-2 success over Ash B. Martin Townshend and Andy Appleby won all three whilst Ramesh Bhalla won twice. Tennis A easily beat two man Frimley B B, 8-2. Paul Shakespeare was unbeaten for Tennis whilst keith falconer bagged a brace for Frimley. Ash A won 7-3 against two man Bentley A. With both Dave Phelps and Dave Halfpenny unbeaten. Fleet A had a surprisingly straight forward win over Tennis B, 9-1. David Joyce and Fallon Thompson chalked up a full house apiece whilst Lawrence Dack won a couple.
In the Second Division Cody X suffered a massive blow to their hopes of avoiding relegation when they were whitewashed by Tennis D. Peter Bone, Martin Evans and Mehrdad Abutelabi secured the points for Tennis. Ash D kept up their drive for promotion with a 7-3 victory over Crawley Ridge A. Both Andy Clegg and Paul Creamer were undefeated. Bentley B beat Braybrooke A 8-2 with Robin Street winning all three and team-mates Paul Farrant and Eric North bagging braces but both lost to Mick Rumbold. Despite having only two players Cody A beat Ash C 6-4. Paul Mission won all three and Dave Stenning won twice.
