Tennis F moved to the top of the Third Division with an emphatic 8-2 victory over their H squad. Both Andy Barnard and Peter Butler were unbeaten. Ash E and Frimley D shared the points in a match with six sets going to five games. Ash’s Terry French was the star performer with a maximum whilst Brian Greenberg and Ramesh Vasudevamurthy each won twice. Crawley Ridge B eased past Fleet B 6-4. James Maxwell was unbeaten for Fleet with both David Marchant and Corin Moore recording doubles. Frimley E also won 6-4 against Crawley Ridge C. Kieran Daniel recorded a trio for Frimley whilst Steve Lawlor supported with a pair. Yuriy Schulzhenko bagged a brace for Crawley Ridge.
Results were very much as expected in the First Division. Central A maintained their lead with an 8-2 victory over Frimley B. Paul Baker was undefeated with team-mates Julie Lawrence and Peter Millard supporting with braces. Both lost to Frimley’s Keith Falconer. Central B beat Ash A 7-3 to inflict Ash A’s first defeat of the season. Scott Ayers chalked up a full house and Martin Townshend won a couple for Central. Dave Phelps won twice for Ash. Tennis B beat Frimley A 7-3 with Eliot Tilley in imperious form securing a full house. Simon Turner supported with a duo which was matched by Frimley’s David MacKinnon. Tennis A beat Ash B by the same score, 7-3 with Paul Shakespeare unbeaten for Tennis. Peter Bone, playing as a reserve won a couple in support in a match where every player won.
The Second Division continues to be tight with Ash D sharing the points with Braybrooke A. Yizhong Wei chalked up a maximum for Braybrooke whilst Andy Clegg and Paul Creamer each won twice for Ash. Cody X eased past Tennis E with Peter Anthony securing a maximum. He was supported by Duncan Sibbick who won twice. This was matched by Tennis’ Stuart Middlemiss. Tennis C beat Cody A 7-3 to move towards the promotion area. Mirko Danso picked up three for Tennis with team-mate Colin Baggott winning twice as did Cody’s Duncan Sibbick. Ash C overcame Frimley C 7-3 thanks to a maximum from Nigel Tustin. Amy Parkes supported with a duo and Vasco Correira won a couple for Frimley.
In the Fourth Division Tennis J maintained their 100% record with an emphatic 8-2 victory over Ash G. Michael Wolfe was unbeaten for Tennis with John Page and Ian Brown supporting with duos both losing to Ash’s Sheila Pretty. Fleet C eased past Cody D 6-4 with Alan Yeung undefeated for Fleet. Vic King and Nigel Wilshire bagged braces for Cody. Tennis K beat Frimley F 6-4 but the star performer was Frimley’s Alistair Sutherland. All the Tennis trio, Graham Dorey, Joe Sparkes and Ken Lewington all won twice. Braybrooke B kept up their push at the top when they beat Cody C 8-2 inflicting Cody’s first defeat. Alan Burkey once again won all three with Kenny Duarte and Alan Burkey both bagging braces with both beaten by Cody’s Spike Hagan.
