The battle at the top of the Fourth Division continues to be intense with four teams currently unbeaten. Tennis J beat Frimley F 8-2 to maintain their slender lead at the top. Ian Brown notched a maximum for Tennis with John Page and Michael Wolfe supporting with duos with both losing to Frimley’s Charles Rhodes. Crawley Ridge D won by the same margin against two man Fleet C. Eric Wong was unbeaten for Crawley Ridge whilst Alan Yeung won the two Fleet points. Cody C also won 8-2 against a depleted Ash G outfit. Dave Hewitt won both his matches with Sheila Pretty winning twice for Ash. Tennis K beat Ash F 7-3 with all the Tennis trio, Joe Sparkes, Graham Dorey and Ken Lewington bagging braces but Graham Thomas won all his three matches for Ash.
There was a major surprise in the Second Division when previous leaders, Bentley B, were thrashed 9-1 by Tennis C. Peter Killick and Mirko Danso led the way with maximums whilst Colin Baggott won twice. This has allowed Ash D to move to the top after an 8-2 victory over Ash C. Andy Clegg secured another full house whilst Brian Smithers and Paul Creamer supported with pairs. Frimley C and Cody X shared the spoils with Vasco Correia undefeated for Frimley and Peter Anthony and Kin Chan each winning twice for Cody. Two-man Cody A also drew against Tennis D. Peter Bone won both his games for Tennis with the Cody pair of Dave Stenning and Paul Mission both successful twice. Crawley Ridge A beat Tennis E 7-3 with Yuriy Schulzhenko chalking up a maximum and Dennis Smith and Phil Garrett each winning twice neither beating George Carder who won a couple for Tennis.
In the Third Division Ash E recoded their debut victory of the season with a narrow 6-4 over Cody B. Les Knight was unbeaten for Ash with Terry French supporting with a duo. John Harvey won a couple for Cody. Tennis F thrashed Fleet B 9-1 with both Peter Butler and Graham McCulley notching trios and Peter Killick winning twice. Frimley D beat Crawley Ridge B 7-3 with all players winning and losing. The Frimley trio of Brian Greenberg, Gary Smith and Tony Harrison all won twice. Tennis H eased past Frimley E 6-4 with Charles Burton recording a maximum and Tushar Vaja a couple for Tennis. Kieran Daniel won twice for Frimley.
In the First Division Tennis B won their first match of the season 7-3 against Ash B. Eliot Tilley won thrice for Tennis with Simon Turner supporting with a double. Central A took Tennis A’s unbeaten record when they won 6-4. No player was unbeaten with Paul Baker and Andy Appleby winning a couple for Central and Michael Kwan and Paul Shakespeare doing likewise for Tennis. Fleet A and Ash A shared the points with Dave Halfpenny securing a full house for Ash and team-mate Dave Phelps chipping in with a pair. Bentley A overwhelmed Frimley A 9-1. Crispian Knight and Andrew Bawden were both unbeaten and Graham Diplock won twice.
