Bentley B has started it’s campaign in the Second Division with two successes, 6-4 against Old Woking and an 8-2 victory over Frimley B. Eric North won five times across the two matches, Robin Street four and Paul Farrant three. Steve Cheek won a couple for Old Woking. Cody B maintained their 100% record with a narrow 6-4 victory over Tennis E. Duncan Sibbick recorded a trio with team mate Dave Stenning bagging a brace. Ash C have started with a tight 6-4 win against Cody A. Nigel Tustin was the star performer with a maximum for Ash. Keith Russell and Peter Anthony each won a couple for Cody.
In the Third Division Ash E won 7-3 again, this against Tennis G. Jo Bartlett won all three for Ash with colleague Dave Brown supporting with a couple. This was matched by Tennis’ Graham Rudd. Cody D eased past Frimley D 6-4 but it was Frimley’s Anthony Connelly who was unbeaten. Bob Fenner and Dean Hewitt both won twice for Cody. Cody E and Tennis F shared the points with no player unbeaten. Peter Killick and Paul Jarvis won twice for Tennis as did Kim Phillips for Cody.
In the Fourth Division Crawley Ridge B opened with a 6-4 success against Ash H. David Marchant recorded a trio for the Camberley outfit, supported by a duo from Richard Hornby. Ben Carr won a couple for Ash. Tennis J also won 6-4, this against Fleet C. Fleet’s Andrew Hook was unbeaten with the Tennis pair of John Davis and John Page each winning twice. Frimley E beat Cody F 8-2 with newcomer Dennis Smith winning all three. He was supported with pairs from Paul Phelan and Steve Chapman but both lost to Cody’s John Asprey. Tennis H beat Ash J 7-3 with Bob Powney securing all the Ash points. Graham Dorey, Ken Lewington and Keith Johnson all won twice for Tennis.
Just a single result from the First Division with Tennis A winning their third straight match, 8-2, against Central B. Rod Kay and Ross Saxby were both unbeaten for Tennis.
