This season there has been rapid development in a couple of Fourth Division juniors. Phil Russell who is a member of the Cody F team played up for the E team and secured a maximum in a 7-3 victory over Fleet B. Alan Richards and Nigel Roberts supported with braces but both lost to Fleet’s Rob Brook. Ben Carr, for Ash H, is also displaying massive improvement and he, together with Brian Lunn and Darren Milstead, was unbeaten in the 9-1 success against Ash J. Crawley Ridge B maintained their promotion push with an 8-2 win over Ash G. Peter Greenwood-Sleep won all three for the Camberley outfit with Richard Pape and Richard Hornby each winning twice. Ash’s Bob Murrell won the points for Ash. Tennis J whitewashed Cody F with Charles Burton, Dave Lewis and Roger Whichelow showing that this team will be a serious contender next season. Ash K and Frimley E shared the points with Frimley’s James Maxwell undefeated. Carl Tatum and Stuart Wickham both won twice for Ash. Tennis H eased past Broadmoor C 6-4 with Broadmoor’s Gabriel Ailiaoe unbeaten and John Davis and Dave Lewis each winning twice for Tennis.

In the top flight Tennis A showed little mercy to their C team winning 9-1. Paul Myers and Rod Kay each secured maximums with Eliot Tilley winning a couple. Bentley A beat Ash B 8-2 with Andy Mudie undefeated and Steve French and Micky Lang chipping in pairs in support. Central A eased past Ash A 6-4. Peter Millard was unbeaten for Central with Nick Mills and Dave Halfpenny each bagging braces for Ash.

In the Second Division Tennis D beat their E team 6-4 with Michael Kwan maintaining his perfect record. Dave Jarvis supported with a pair which was matched by the E team’s George Carder. Cody B moved into second place with a 7-3 victory over Broadmoor A. All the Cody team, Dario Cereda, Duncan Sibbick and Dave Stenning won twice as did Broadmoor’s Tony Gabriel. Bentley B remain in promotion contention after a 7-3 victory against Frimley B. Robin Street and Paul Farrant were both unbeaten for Bentley.

In the Third Division Ash E eased past Crawley Ridge A 6-4 with Jo Bartlett unbeaten for Ash and team-mate Amy Parkes winning a couple as did Russell Gibbs for Crawley Ridge. Cody C beat their D team 8-2 with a maximum from John Harvey and duos for Jock Docherty and Stuart Stone. Tennis F moved to the top of the table with a 9-1 mauling of their G team. Darren Brown and Bob Brown were both unbeaten and Paul Jarvis won twice. In a relegation battle Ash D just got the better of Frimley D 6-4. Dave Brown recorded a maximum whilst Les Knight won twice. Gary Nicholson won a couple for Frimley.
