The top of the second Division is very congested. Ash C moved to the top with an 8-2 success over Tennis E. Nigel Tustin and Frank Winnard both picked up full houses for Ash. Cody B edged into second place after beating Frimley B 8-2. Dario Cereda was unbeaten with team-mates Duncan Sibbick and Dave Stenning each winning a couple but both lost to Frimley’s Hudson Foley. Fleet A beat Bentley B 9-1 with the Fleet pair of Lawrence Dack and David Joyce each securing trios and John Upham supporting with a brace. Old Woking edged past Tennis D 6-4. No player was unbeaten with Steve Cheek and Bill Matlock for Old Woking and Dave Jarvis and Dave Hewitt each recording two victories.
In the Third Division the top two, Frimley C and Tennis F both won 9-1 making them odds on favourites to move into the higher tier. Frimley C beat Crawley Ridge A with Bob Walker and Anthony Connelly both recording trios and John Eade winning twice. Tennis F overcame Cody D with Peter Killick and Darren Brown picking up the maximums and Paul Jarvis bagging a brace. The other two matches were both draws. Tennis G and Ash D shared the points with Ash’s Les Knight unbeaten and Andrew Blunden and Ian Brown each winning twice for Tennis. Ash F also shared the spoils with Cody C. Karim Lawji won all three for Ash with John Harvey and Jock Docherty each winning a couple for Cody.
In the Fourth Division Cody E continued their push for promotion with a 6-4 victory over Frimley E. Kim Phillips was unbeaten for Cody with Nigel Roberts chipping in with a pair. This was matched by Frimley’s James Maxwell. Ben Carr secured another maximum for Ash H but it could not prevent a 6-4 defeat against Tennis J for whom Charles Burton and Dave Lewis both bagged braces. Crawley Ridge B maintained their promotion push with a 7-3 victory over Fleet B. Fleet’s Rob Brook picked up all his team’s points with Peter Greenwood-Sleep, Richard Pape and Richard Hornby all winning twice for the Camberley outfit. Ash G and Tennis H shared the points with Ash’s Bob Murrell winning all three and Charles Burton winning twice for Tennis.
Central B remain top of the First Division after beating Tennis B 7-3. Dave Phelps was undefeated with team-mate Andy Appleby chipping in with a pair. Paul Myers won a couple for Tennis. Tennis A whitewashed Ash B with Eliot Tilley, Kevin Bown and Rod Kay picking up the points. Cody A moved off the bottom of the division after a 6-4 win at Frimley A. Kin Chan and Keith Russell each won twice for Cody with Nigel Oh matching this for Frimley. Central A beat Ash A 6-4 with Phil Snelson remaining unbeaten for Central. Dave Halfpenny won a couple for Ash. Bentley A beat two-man Frimley A 9-1 with both Andy Mudie and Micky Lang undefeated. Tennis C shared the points with a reduced Ash A team. Halfpenny won all three for Ash.
