Tennis D, in the Second Division, recorded their first win of the season, 6-4, against previously unbeaten Cody B. Michael Kwan was unbeaten for Tennis with Dario Cereda and Duncan Sibbick each bagging braces for Cody. Frimley B and Old Woking shared the points with Old Woking’s Bill Matlock winning three times. Vasco Correira and Hudson Foley each won twice for Frimley. Broadmoor A eased past Tennis D 6-4. Again Michael Kwan won all his singles with all the Broadmoor outfit, Tony Gabriel, Pu Zhang and Keith Jones winning a pair apiece.
In the First Division Tennis A easily beat their B team 8-2. Eliot Tilley and Rod Kay each recorded full houses. Central A thrashed Ash B 9-1 with Ash only winning the doubles. Phil Snelson, Dennis Perrett and Robin Pretty formed the victorious Central team.
In the Third Division Tennis F maintained their promotion drive with an emphatic 8-2 win over Ash D. Darren Brown won all three for Tennis with colleagues Peter Killick and Paul Jarvis each winning twice. Crawley Ridge A and Tennis G shared the points with no player unbeaten or losing all three. There were duos for Corin Moore from Crawley Ridge and Martin Evans and Andrew Blunden for Tennis.
In a marathon Fourth Division match Ash G beat their H team 8-2. Bob Murrell and Ray Mears each picked up trios for the G team. Ash K eased past Tennis J 6-4 with Stuart Wickham securing a trio. Team mate Dave Brown won twice as did Tennis’ Dave Lewis. Frimley E beat Tennis H 7-3 with James Maxwell and Stephen Bridle both undefeated for Frimley. Crawley Ridge B and Cody F shared the points with John Sheehy unbeaten for Cody. Richard Hornby and Ron Bartlett both won twice apiece for Crawley Ridge. Cody E kept their 100% record with a 9-1 victory over two person Ash J. Kim Phillips and Alan Richards were both unbeaten.
