Farnborough Tennis D hold onto top spot in Division 2 of the Aldershot & District Table Tennis League after a five all draw with Cody C, however Old Woking have three games in hand and are only seven points adrift. Cody have Jack Doherty to thank for this impressive draw, his three keeps them out of the relegation quagmire just above Broadmoor B who slipped to a 7-3 defeat at home to Cody B who had Dario Cerada and Keith Russell on triple form. Bottom side Tennis E are scrapping hard, a five all draw with Bentley B should give them heart to believe they can survive, Peter Killick won a good two for Tennis but Paul Farrant saved Bentley with all three. A 6-4 victory for Ash C over Tennis C leaves them third but just eight points off the top spot, Frank Winnard won all three and seems to be hitting top form just in time for a promotion charge.
In Division 1 Farnborough Tennis B have leapt up to mid table safety after a 7-3 win over bottom side Cody A, Paul Myers kept up his good form, bagging three wins. Third place Broadmoor A have Mark Handcock back in the ranks and his trio, matched by Clive Banham, proved too much for Central B who succumbed 8-2. Challoner are slowly marching up the table and a 10-0 thrashing of Frimley A sees them up to fourth, Crispian Knight, Shaun Robertson and Martin Rozario were all unbeaten. Central A increased the lead over Ash A at the top, handing their rivals a resounding 8-2 beating, once again Phil Snelson won three and was ably backed up by evergreen Dennis Perrett and the stone wall that is Peter Millard who each picked up two.
Cody D are now a whopping fourty points clear at the top of Division 4 after crushing Frimley F 9-1, Stuart Stone and Fan Lei each untroubled. Just clinging on to second are Fleet CC C, a 6-4 win at Ash L, for whom David Phillips was actually the star of this match with a three for the losing side, leaves them one ahead of Ash K, but having played three more. Ash H remain rooted to the foot of the table and winless after going down 7-3 to Ash J, Stephen Bridle, Graham Macey and Brian Lunn each with two for the victors and in a mid table clash three for Crawley Ridge B’s John Atkinson was not enough to stop his side sliding to defeat, 6-4 at Cody F.
