Cody A

Thu, 04/10/2018 - 12:30 -- jpsnelson

In Division 2 of the Aldershot League that Cody A as from the 1st October no longer play their Home matches at the Community Centre Hook.  Instead their home matches will be played at the Victoria Hall, Ash Hill, Ash, GU12 5DN on different evenings during that week of the dated match.

The Cody A Captain, Dave Stenning will inform each team Captain of the day of the match well before that match, once the matches have been registered and agreed with Dave Brown. This change of Venue is because the hall at Hook after the first home match was found not suitable for the standard for play required.

I have just got a new supply of balls in for the coming season. They are Tibhar 40+ SL (Seamless) - price is £2.50 for a box of 3. Let me know if you want any.

Camberley Ping Pong Parlour

Thu, 03/05/2018 - 12:19 -- jpsnelson

Table Tennis England have sponsored a Ping Pong Parlor in Camberley Town Centre next to Argos in an empty shop unit which is open now, and will stay open until the end of May. It is possible that this may be extended for a further 6 weeks if it is being well used. It is open to the general public free of charge and consists of 3 tables in quite a generous space, with balls and Table Tennis bats. League players will be most welcome to use it as they wish, especially as Collingwood is closed for May & June for the exam season.

I am working with the Shopping Centre Management to provide some coaching for them and they have produced some leafletts and posters for the general public with details of how to contact the League and what we can offer at Collingwood when it re-opens, and hopefully provide some new or lapsed players for the League.

As you may know greater data protection rules will be coming into place in late May this year. This may well require each and every one of the members of the league signing some paperwork to acknowledge the data which is currently held on you by the League on behalf of TTE. Currently this definitely includes name, address, dob and nationality (this is the bare minimum to get registered with TTE). You might also have declared your phone number, e mail and ethnicity.

So if you suddenly receive a consent form then please sign it and return asap.
